You have always had the desire and the dream to dive and visit the marine world, and you are not very clear what scuba diving is and not knowing makes you uncomfortable and creates doubts or fears.
We want to come and meet you by trying to explain what scuba diving is.
Like many documentaries on the marine world, scuba diving gives us the opportunity to visit life under water in lakes or seas, and I think you know this.
The term “SCUBA” which is often found in equipment or in the names of many diving centers (such as our Scuba Revolution) is an English acronym (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus ) which indicates the breathing of divers that we use to stay below the surface of the water for long periods of time. What drives many people to this activity is the love of diving and being able to see and share the beauties of the seabed with others, while some dive for commercial, scientific and even military reasons.
In order to dive, people interested in this recreational activity must follow a specific course for beginners, where the required skills are explained and learned, such as: the use of equipment, diving techniques and all the information necessary to visit safely and positivity the seabed. Lessons are possible in many structures called “Diving” or if you prefer Diving Center present all over the world.
To start diving, it is not necessary to have equipment, as it is provided during the initial course.
Indeed we often recommend not to buy it before the course because with the lessons you learn the knowledge of how to choose it.
The equipment necessary for scuba diving, however, and for your knowledge are: mask, fins, wetsuit (this based on the water temperatures) regulators and buoyancy compensator, tank and depth indicators and a watch.
Fundamental are all time, depth and pressure measurement systems that provide divers with important safety information.
Recreational scuba diving is a fun time before, during and after diving in mainly tourist locations both in Italy and abroad as you share it with other divers with whom you dive, as you never go alone, thus also making new acquaintances.
