Barattinelli di Fuori lies beside a small islet at the northern edge of the La Maddalena Archipelago, in a wild and unspoilt area. The dive develops mainly around an exposed rock north of the islet. In the deepest section, at around 30 m, a beautiful forest of red gorgonians thrives thanks to the strong currents that generally arrive from the south-east. Its proximity to the Strait of Bonifacio also makes encounters with pelagic species possible, including greater amberjack and even bluefin tuna.
